ESPN Loses Erin Andrews to Fox Sports (UPDATED)

Well, looks like ESPN just lost a pretty good reason to tune in to “College GameDay” on Saturday mornings. God knows I never tuned in to watch Desmond Howard stuttering his way through two hours of show. Erin Andrews, who has been with the network since 2004, is saying adios and moving to greener pastures.
According to ESPN, they made an “aggressive offer to keep her”, but it was a no go.
Andrews recently took over as co-host of “College GameDay” in 2011 after a stint on the reality competition show “Dancing with the Stars”. Her co-anchor stint was a pretty big deal for ESPN, but apparently it wasn’t a big enough deal after all.
If you’re keeping count at home, ESPN has now lost two of its younger female reporters — first “Sports Nation’s” Michelle Beadle to NBC, and now Andrews.
Update: It’s official: Andrews is joining Fox Sports, and will host a primetime college football pregame show for them, along with the NFL, MLB, and basically everything else they can put her in front of. Sounds like if you like watching Fox Sports shows, you’re going to be seeing a LOT of Andrews.
